About Talat Shikshan Mandal
Founded in 1982 by Mr. Mahmood-ur-Rahman Siddiqui and Mrs. Khan Qutabunnisa, Talat Educational Society, also known as Talat Shikshan Mandal, was established with a mission to provide quality education to economically, socially, and educationally disadvantaged sections of society. The Society is a registered entity under the Indian Society’s Registration Act of 1860 and the Bombay Trust Act of 1950, with tax exemptions under Section 12(a) and 80G of the Income Tax Act of 1961.
As one of the oldest educational organizations in Aurangabad, Talat Shikshan Mandal began with a modest primary school in a single room, serving just five students. Today, after four decades of dedication and commitment, the Society provides educational services to over 5,500 students across multiple locations in Aurangabad through its ten educational institutions.
Talat Shikshan Mandal has been widely recognized for its pioneering work in education, especially for the underprivileged. It has received numerous accolades, including awards from the Rotary Club and appreciation from the Government of India. The Secretary of the Society was honored with the Best Teacher Award by the Government of Maharashtra, presented by the Chief Minister, further recognizing the Society’s impactful contributions to the field of education. Talat Shikshan Mandal has become an inspiration and a model for minority educational institutions across India.
With its comprehensive infrastructure, including well-equipped science laboratories, libraries, and computer labs, the Society offers an enriching environment that supports academic excellence, sports, and extracurricular activities, providing students with a strong platform for personal and intellectual growth.
Beyond academics, Talat Shikshan Mandal is deeply committed to social responsibility. The Society actively engages in various community initiatives such as adult education, AIDS awareness, tree plantation, national integration programs, cultural events, and blood donation camps. It also extends support during national crises, having contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds for the Kargil War, Killari Earthquake, and Gujarat Earthquake, among others.
At Talat Educational Society, moral and value-based education is at the heart of our curriculum, fostering qualities such as self-confidence, self-respect, and a strong sense of responsibility towards society. Our goal is to empower students to develop a positive outlook on life and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
